Maria Arcia, M.D.

Dr. Arcia is a graduate of the University of Coimbra Medical School (Coimbra, Portugal). She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Metro West Medical Center (Framingham, MA) before pursuing residency training in Psychiatry at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Brighton, MA), where, from 2009- 2010, she was appointed Chief Resident in Psychiatry. During her residency training she performed specialized outpatient psychiatric care for patients with multiple sclerosis at the Brighton Marine Health Center (Brighton, MA). After completing her training, Dr. Arcia served as an Inpatient Psychiatrist at Holy Family Hospital (Methuen, MA), and, thereafter at Cambridge Health Alliance (Cambridge, MA) at which time she was appointed to the faculty of the Harvard Medical School. Currently, Dr. Arcia serves as an Inpatient Psychiatrist and an ECT provider at Emerson Hospital (Cambridge, MA).
